Where the Sins Lie takes place in the Marauders' fifth year at Hogwarts. Many canon ages have been intentionally altered in order to fit with the site's plot, as well as open up many character possibilities for members.
In order to do their best to keep their children "wholesome" and "innocent", many wizarding parents won't offer their children even an inkling as to what's going on in their bodies until they've reached legal age. The result? The students of Hogwarts are full of pent-up emotion, unable to understand what it is they're feeling. One night of confused passion was enough to change all of that. Upon returning to Hogwarts the next year, it didn't take long for the student body to spread the rumors: Molly Prewett was 2 months pregnant with Arthur Weasley's child.
Everyone in the school is changing as a result. Some are violently opposed to it (most likely a result of their parents' teaching), while some are cheering them on. But one thing is for sure: not many are likely to be completely unaffected by this. Students are thinking in different ways, looking from different perspectives, and really discovering themselves for the first time.
